Alfreton lies just off junction 28 of the M 1 motorway. The A38 provides access to both Derby and Mansfield and the A61 leads to Chesterfield. Within Alfreton there is a range of Schooling for all ages, a range of shops along the High Street, with the Mc Arthur Glen Designer Outlet and shopping complex approximately 3 miles from Alfreton. Beyond Alfreton lies Matlock, Bakewell and the famous Peak District National Park not to mention Chatsworth Park and House. Alfreton has a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool.
